Cookie policy

Version 2, published 02/11/2026.

Cookie policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technology used on the Ad Intel website and service. Ad Intel is a trading name of Cyber Investments Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17510180), 6 Hill Rise, Seaford, East Sussex, BN25 2UA. It should be read with our privacy notice, which explains what we do with personal data.

Our approach

We do not use advertising cookies. We use two kinds of optional cookie, and only if you choose "Accept all" on our banner: Google Analytics cookies on our public website, and the referral cookie described below. The fonts on our site are served from our own server, so no font provider sees your visit.

Cookies the service needs

These are set without asking because the website and service cannot work without them (and under UK rules they are exempt from consent).

Cookie What it does How long it lasts
Session cookie Keeps you signed in and remembers things like a referral code for your current visit About two hours without activity, or until you sign out
XSRF-TOKEN Security token that protects forms from being submitted by another site The same as the session cookie
Remember-me cookie (remember_web_…) Keeps you signed in on a device when you tick "remember me" Up to 400 days, or until you sign out
adintel_consent Records the choice you made on our cookie banner so we do not ask again 180 days
adintel_visitor A random identifier that goes with your cookie choice, so we can show that a choice was made About 13 months

Google Analytics cookies (only if you accept)

If you choose "Accept all", our public website (the pages you can see without signing in, not the Ad Intel app, the client portal or shared report links) loads Google Analytics 4, a service from Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC. It helps us see which pages are visited and how people find us, so we can improve the site.

Cookie What it does How long it lasts
_ga Holds a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted Up to 2 years (Google's default; some browsers shorten it)
_ga_<property id> Holds the state of your current session Up to 2 years (Google's default; some browsers shorten it)

Google receives your IP address, browser and device details and the pages you view. We switch off Google signals and ad personalisation, so the data is not used for advertising. Google acts as our processor, and may process data in the United States under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Nothing is sent to Google, and these cookies are not set, until you accept.

To withdraw, choose "Cookie settings" in the footer of our website and then "Essential only". We stop Google Analytics and delete its cookies. You can also delete them in your browser settings.

Referral cookie (only if you accept)

If you arrive through a referral link from someone in our referral programme and you have chosen "Accept all" on our banner, we set a cookie called adintel_ref. It lasts up to 60 days (this is currently 60 days and our privacy notice says if it changes). It holds only the referrer's link code, nothing about you. We use it for one purpose: to credit the person who referred you if you go on to sign up for Ad Intel. It does not identify you and we do not use it for advertising.

If you choose "Essential only", we do not set this cookie. We keep the code only for your current visit, in our session cookie, and it is forgotten when the visit ends. If you do not sign up, the referral cookie does nothing. You can delete it in your browser settings at any time; the only effect is that a later sign-up will not be credited to the referrer.

The choice on our banner

Our banner offers "Essential only" and "Accept all", with equal prominence. Accepting allows the Google Analytics cookies above and the referral cookie. "Essential only" allows neither. You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer of our website, or by deleting the adintel_consent cookie in your browser; the banner will then appear again. If we add any other optional cookie, we will describe it here first and ask you again before using it.

Other companies' cookies

  • Payments. When you pay, you are sent to a payment page run by Stripe, which sets its own cookies under its own policy.
  • Connecting accounts. When you connect an advertising or analytics account (for example Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn or Microsoft), you sign in on that company's own page, which sets its own cookies under its own policy.
  • Links. If you follow a link from our site to another website, that website's cookie policy applies.

Browser notifications and the installed app

If you choose to turn on browser notifications, or to add Ad Intel to your home screen, your browser stores a small subscription and a copy of some of our pages so the app can open quickly. These are not cookies, they are only stored if you ask for them, and you can switch them off in Ad Intel's notification settings or in your browser.

Your website visitors

If you add the Ad Intel tracking snippet to your own website, it is built to store nothing in your visitors' browsers (it sets no cookies) and to send no personal details. You decide whether it runs and are responsible for telling your visitors about it and for asking for consent where the law requires it. The snippet can wait for your own cookie banner before sending anything.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies in the first table, you will not be able to sign in. Our banner is the way to change your referral-cookie choice.

Changes and questions

We will update this policy if the cookies we use change, and show its version and date at the top of the page. Questions: use the contact form on our website or email us at the address in our privacy notice.

We use cookies the site needs to work. With your permission we would also use Google Analytics cookies to see how the site is used, and remember a referral link so the person who referred you is credited if you sign up. See the cookie policy.
